34-year-old's advocate said he's now 'turned himself around'
A Douglas man has been fined £350 after being caught with cocaine at a Fatboy Slim gig held last summer.
Daniel Jonathan Fick, of Park Road, admitted possessing the Class A drug at The Nunnery during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.
Police searched the 34-year-old, on 2 July, after seeing him engaged ‘in debate’ with door staff at the ‘Metabolizm’ event; officers claimed the drug had a street value of £100.
Fick’s advocate told the court her client had now stopped going out, and associating with previous contacts, adding: “He’s sought to take measures to turn his life around.”
Fining him, and ordering him to pay £50 in prosecution costs, High Bailiff Jayne Hughes said it was a ‘relatively small amount’.
