Douglas man admits threatening Sea Terminal staff

Homer Holmes to be sentenced in July

A Douglas man will be sentenced next month after threatening staff at the Sea Terminal.

Fifty-year-old Homer Andrew Holmes, of Darragh Way, has pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour toward members of the port security team.

Prosecution advocate James Robinson told magistrates at Douglas courthouse police had to be called to the Sea Terminal at around 9pm on 21 June.

Security officers approached Holmes, who began swearing and shouting before telling them they’d have been stabbed under different circumstances.

The court heard Holmes was extremely drunk at the time and had previous convictions for similar offences.

Magistrates bailed him for reports, banning him from entering the Sea Terminal until he’s sentenced on 23 July.
