52-year-old was disqualified from driving in 2005
A Douglas man will be sentenced later this year after admitting drink driving on Marine Drive.
Tony Francis Benjamin, of Alder Grove, was witnessed driving his partner’s Ford Fiesta on 15 June.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 6.10pm when the car got stuck in fencing.
The 52-year-old had consumed three beers before getting behind the wheel.
Subsequent blood tests showed he was over the legal limit.
At Douglas Courthouse Benjamin also admitted driving without insurance and whilst disqualified.
A social enquiry report will be prepared before he's sentenced. He's been bailed until his next appearance on 21 November.
