Raising awareness of Fragile X
A Douglas couple are heading to Dublin this weekend for the city’s marathon - the fourth largest in Europe.
They’ll be among 20,000 men and women taking to the streets for a 26.2 mile route through the capital.
John and Helene Quaye are raising funds for Fragile X Syndrome, which their four year-old nephew has.
It’s the most commonly inherited cause of learning disability and can cause difficulties with learning, emotional, and behavioural problems.
They say awareness of the condition needs heightening.
