'No waiting' cones moved on Loch Promenade
A Douglas councillor is calling for people issued with parking tickets 'unfairly' on Saturday to challenge their fines.
Frank Schuengel says the Department of Infrastructure placed yellow 'no waiting' cones on the seaward side of Loch Promenade on Saturday as part of ongoing roadworks.
However some were reportedly removed by road users, wanting access to the spaces, leaving no clear signal that parking was suspended in the area for drivers who followed them.
He described the department's response to the situation as 'tone deaf':
