Free trees for residents and community groups
Douglas Council says it is giving away 2,000 trees, to 'support climate change reversal.'
Residents and community groups can apply for a tree by contacting park services on 696330 or emailing parks@douglas.gov.im.
The number of trees gifted depends on how big the council deems your garden to be - with 'large' gardens given up to three trees, and 'small' gardens one each.
Community groups can plant up to 100 trees, but are required to show proof they can plant on private land.
