The figure was confirmed at today's public meeting
Douglas Council spent an estimated £60,000 on fitting Christmas lights and decorations in December.
The figure was given by Chair of the Environmental Committee Falk Horning in response to a written question at today's public meeting (14 February).
Councillor Horning confirmed the local authority's staff worked 1500 hours and claimed 498 hours in overtime.
15 to 20 percent of the lights weren't fitted compared to 2022.
