Minister points to hotel sector success
A recorded slowdown in tourists coming to the Island last year should be taken 'with a pinch of salt', according to the Enterprise Minister.
The Cabinet Office's latest Passenger Survey found 25,000 fewer people visited the Island in 2017 than in 2016 - with around 10,000 less traveling on business.
But Mr Skelly says the way the data is collected resembles more of a 'poll' than an in-depth analysis of visitor habits - and his Department will be 'looking more closely' at the findings.
