Victim's family "really happy" with decision
A man who murdered two teenagers on the Isle of Man has been denied parole, Manx Radio understands.
Peter Newbery killed 16-year-olds Samantha Barton and George Green in 2002 and was jailed for life two years later with a minimum term of twenty years.
It's the second time the killer has applied for parole, following an unsuccessful attempt in 2023.
Earlier this year, fearing his release, the victims' families renewed a campaign to keep him behind bars.
Reacting to the news that parole has been denied once again, George's sister Shirley Klieve told Manx Radio the family are "really, really happy":
