New MHK tables several questions
A newly-elected MHK says economic dependence on the e-gaming sector could spell bad news for the Island in the future.
Member for Douglas North, David Ashford, will question the economic development minister about the diversity of the Manx economy during Tynwald tomorrow (Tuesday) – the first sitting of the court since last month’s General Election.
Mr Ashford believes the government should encourage growth in new sectors such as research and development and renewable energy.
But he cautions against an 'unbalanced' economy:
