Information Commissioner finds department failed to comply with Code of Conduct
The Department of Infrastructure was wrong to turn down a Freedom of Information request relating to harbour fees.
The Information Commissioner has ordered the department to release the information within 30 days or give a further refusal notice after ruling it was not justified in claiming the data contained personal information.
A review also found the department had not complied with the FoI Code of Conduct after failing to recognise the request for an internal review by the applicant.
The original request was seeking information on outstanding harbour fees at Church Yard Dock in Peel.
