DOI working on the roads following wintry showers

The Mountain Road is closed due to snow and ice however all other routes remain open

Motorists are asked to drive to the conditions this morning (20 November) as some roads become icy in places. 

The Mountain Road is closed due to snow and ice however all other arterial routes remains open. 

Police have confirmed the infrastructure department is currently out working on the roads. 

It's as a yellow weather warning for hail, sleet and ice patches remains in force until 10am.

Meanwhile Bus Vannin has confirmed it won't be able to serve the Avondale Road and Birch Hill stops. 

It is advising those who require public transport to use the nearest stops located at Governors Hill, Hailwood Avenue and the Manx Arms.
