Minister lays blame on promoters
Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer insists the blame for Rally Isle of Man's collapse lies with its promoters.
The event's organisers announced it would not be going ahead two days ago, putting to an end months of speculation over its future.
Government has criticised the organising body for missing crucial deadlines, and not meeting assurances about public safety.
Rally Isle of Man has accused Infrastructure bosses of being too slow to grant road closures.
But Mr Harmer says if anything, his department was too helpful.
