MLC calls for department to work with private and third sectors
An MLC has called on the Department of Infrastructure to work with the third and private sectors to fund bus services for children who are attending extra-curricular activities.
It follows the department’s decision to reduce the amount of time youngsters can travel for free.
Bus passes are now valid until 5pm; after this anyone travelling will have to pay half fare.

In Tynwald this week Minister Tim Crookall said his department was continuing to work through feedback in order to resolve any issues which had been created as a result of this decision.
But Kerry Sharpe called for him to look at other options of reinstating the free travel:
