Crashes on icy roads
The Department of Infrastructure says it's working hard as the wintry weather sets in - but not every road can be dealt with in time.
Five gritting vehicles are currently employed around the Island, and will spread up to 50 tonnes of salt per day as temperatures dip towards freezing.
There were delays around the capital on Wednesday morning after icy roads caused a crash at Kewaigue - as well as two accidents on the Mountain Road on Tuesday night.
DoI Maintenance Manager Alan Hardinge has given motorists an update:
