Department waiting for more details from bidder
The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed it's received a bid from an off Island company to develop the Summerland site.
Plans for Douglas plot came up at this month's sitting of Tynwald during a debate on the future of the Strathallan Suite.
After the Department invited bids for the land, UK property firm Berkeley Homes visited the Island, but decided not to put in a formal offer.
However, one bid has been submitted from an off-Island company, and has now been invited to come forward with its proposals.
The DoI is waiting to hear more details before making a decision on the bid.
