DoI 'committed' to reaching agreement with bus drivers

Further talks have taken place with MIRS this week

In a statement released this morning, it's been confirmed two meetings have taken place with the Manx Industrial Relations Service this week to try to resolve the dispute between drivers and the bus operator.

Bus Vannin says it remains ready and willing to have positive and constructive negotiations, and that its previous six offers remain on the table as a basis for further discussions.

A fresh wave of strike action has begun this morning, resulting in a contingency bus timetable being brought back in for the next four days - you can find details of the timetable HERE.

Unite the Union's members are due to take further strike action every weekend in March.
