Several dead or diseased trees found following a recent inspection
A section of the A4 Peel to Kirk Michael Road will be closing for a time next week whilst the Department of Infrastructure carries out emergency tree felling.
The DOI says it's necessary after several dead or diseased trees were found following a recent inspection.
The road will be shut to all vehicular traffic from Douglas Road Corner in Kirk Michael, to the junction with the Ballaleigh Road on Monday 20 January from 9am until no later than 3.30pm.
Through traffic between Peel and Kirk Michael will be diverted onto the A3 Ramsey to Castletown Road, Cronk Y Voddy, Ballig and Poortown Road.
Vehicular access to and from Cooil Dharry will be via the Peel side of the works.
