Lifeboat was on an exercise nearby
Douglas RNLI rescued a dog from the town's harbour yesterday afternoon, while the crew was carrying out a training exercise.
When the call came, they returned immediately to the harbour from Douglas bay, quickly located the animal and got it aboard the lifeboat.
The dog was dried off and wrapped in a blanket, to then returned to its grateful owner, who was waiting by Fort Anne jetty.
Having made sure all was well with the pair of them, the crew then resumed their exercise.
