Board say canine incident was 'ill-judged and entirely avoidable'
Castletown Town Commissioners have unanimously supported a motion of no confidence in the chairman.
The vote took place last night after the board wrote to Carol Quine, a week ago, requesting her resignation.
In August her dog bit a commissioners' employee, at the Town Hall, causing them injury.
The staff member's still unable to work and the matter was reported to the Health and Safety at Work Inspectorate.
The board say the matter was 'ill-judged and entirely avoidable' and felt it potentially placed commissioners at reputational and financial risk.
They weren't satisfied with Ms Quine's response in her role as chair or as a dog owner.
Manx Radio has contacted Ms Quine who confirmed, despite the vote of no confidence, she remains as Chairman of Castletown Town Commissioners.
