Manx resident was among first to take part in awards
A Manx resident who was among the first people to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award hopes the scheme inspires young people and older people to work together.
Malcolm Kelly started work on the silver award in 1957, just a year after the programme launched.
The scheme was set up by His Royal Highness Prince Philip, who died on Friday.
Mr Kelly says he learnt younger and older generations should work more closely from taking part in the awards:
Plan for future of Hospice to be brought forward 'during this administration'
Online gambling sector subject to more 'rigorous scrutiny' than ever before
Plans to create a 'people's mandate' for prospective election candidates
Open Farm event inspires next generation of Manx farmers
