MHK says current system is 'very onerous'
An MHK wants to see more 'common sense' applied to the application process for Disability Living Allowance.
Douglas North member David Ashford will ask Treasury Minister Alex Allinson what plans there are to review the period for which the payment is made before individuals have to reapply when the House of Keys sits next week.
Mr Ashford says he's had members of the public ask him for help completing the renewal forms due to the complexity of the paperwork.
He's keen to see the system simplified:
