Emergency crews from Kirk Michael tackle evening fire
A discarded cigarette is believed to be the cause of a fire which broke out in a hedgerow near Kirk Michael last night (17 July).
Fire crews were sent out at around 9pm - approximately 35 metres of greenery was ablaze by the roadside.
It took them an hour to extinguish.
The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service says the Island is 'tinder dry' at the moment and is asking people to be vigilant.
