Ashford claims current situation isn't fair
Eat, or be able to leave the house.
That's the choice faced by people in need of help to afford motability vehicles on the Island, according to one MHK.
Douglas North member David Ashford asked the Treasury Minister for a UK-Isle of Man comparison on Disability Living Allowance in the House of Keys this week.
Treasury Minister Alf Cannan responded by saying the sum is around eight per cent lower than the UK - with money for leasing vehicles also lower at 4.8 per cent.
The department says it will release a statement on the matter next month.
