Lib Vann party dismissed accusations of a "dirty" campaign in South Douglas
The Lib Vann party has been quick to dismiss claims it carried out a “dirty” campaign in the South Douglas by-election.
After last night’s result was announced, candidate Amy Burns, who came third, says she’d been the victim of bullying.
However, party leader Kate Beecroft, who was at the count with LibVan candidate Keith Fitton, said the allegations were nonsense.
And Mr Fitton, who came runner-up to Bill Malarkey, said he couldn’t understand the claims either.
