Director of hospitals leaves post

John Coleman to 'pursue other opportunities'

The Island's director of hospitals has left his post, the Department of Health and Social Care has confirmed.

John Coleman took over the role on an interim basis from Mike Quinn, who resigned last November to return to the UK and be closer to his family.

A spokesman said: "the government is grateful for the contribution made by Mr Coleman as Interim Director of Hospitals."

It was added that: "John has moved on to pursue other opportunities and we wish him well for the future."
