
Tynwald has approved a three million pound extension for a Douglas high school.
Ballakermeen School needed the money to build a larger dining hall, which would double as an exam venue.
During the debate, Education and Children department member Juan Turner told the court the school suffers from overcrowding and needs extra room.
But he defended spending millions at a time when departments are cutting back:
