Provider due to shut in a fortnight
Meals on Wheels customers affected by the looming closure of Jack Frost will be helped to find an alternative.
That assurance comes from the Department of Health and Social Care.
The frozen food provider has only been offering the service for three weeks, but today announced it would cease trading in a fortnight, unless things quickly turn around.
Meals on Wheels will continue to be provided for that period.
Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford says the news is a blow, but the department is working to minimise its impact: (play audio)
Those affected are urged to call the Adult Services Access team on 686179 and select 'option one'.
