PPU to close for 12 month upgrade
A major revamp of the Private Patients Unit is essential - that's from the Minister for Health and Social Care, David Ashford.
It's after it was announced the PPU will be closed for at least a year, to upgrade, refurbish and redesign the premises.
The department says all of the staff from the ward will be reassigned to similar roles within Noble's Hospital.
And Mr Ashford says the staff have been their priority at this time.
