Minister meets with MSC after senior medical staff raise alarm
The Department of Health and Social Care says it’s had the opportunity to discuss concerns which have been raised over ‘severe bed shortages’ at Noble’s Hospital.
Senior doctors and consultants have called for immediate government intervention to resolve what they say is a ‘critical shortfall’ in inpatient bed capacity.
It follows an extraordinary meeting of the Medical Staff Committee which took place on Friday (13 March).

In response the DHSC says it's met with the MSC and Manx Care and is committed to working alongside the health body to ‘examine the operational issues’.
It adds it’s looking forward to ‘continuing the dialogue with clinicians to map a clear way forward’.
