Noble's Hospital operating 10% over budget
The CEO of the Department of Health and Social Care says under current forecasts, the department is set to record a budgetary overspend of around £3.5million for the 2018/19 financial year.
Those figures come after the department has recorded repeated spending beyond its allocated budget over the past three years, to the tune of more than £30million.
That's also despite Treasury adding an extra £20.6million over two years.
Malcolm Couch revealed the figures in a public meeting with the Public Accounts Committee at the Legislative Buildings in Douglas this afternoon (Wed 13).
Dr Couch says whilst many areas of the health department are 'in the black' with their budget targets, Noble's Hospital continues to overspend by about 10%:
