SHK probes finances
The Department of Health and Social Care is one million pounds over budget, four months into the financial year.
The figure has been revealed by the minister, following a Tynwald question for written answer from Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson.
At the end of July 2018, the department’s net spend was £69.61 million, against a net budget of £68.57 million.
David Ashford admitted he couldn't yet say whether his department would be over budget at the end of the financial year.
He told Mr Watterson a full reforecast would be prepared after the half-year financial position was known, with that being used to determine if Treasury would need to be notified of a possible overspend.
