Craig's Heartstrong Foundation's bid to provide each Island primary school with a defibrillator is under way.
Earlier this year, the charity pledged to raise £60,000 to buy a machine for each primary school.
That target has been reached, the defibrillators have been bought, and now the process of handing them out has begun.
Today, Dhoon was the first Island primary school received the life-saving equipment.
Education Minister Tim Crookall says it's fantastic how fast the money has been raised:
Planning application for onshore wind farm still being developed
Motorcyclist suffered fatal chest injuries in crash
Trial for trio accused of producing Class A drugs to Island
Too early for 'direct action' over cost-of-living concerns says chief minister
