Residents raise concerns over eastern plan
A public meting's to be held in Marown, after local residents raised concerns over plans for development in the parish.
Commissioners say they've had a wave of requests for a meeting, which is planned for Monday 3 April in Crosby Methodist Church Hall, and will be chaired by Captain of the Parish Charles Fargher.
A number of sites in and around Crosby and Glen Vine have been zoned for housing and enterprise development, as part of an over-arching Area Plan for the East.
The strategy - launched this month by government - followed a 'Call for Sites' appeal to local landowners interesting in selling.
Middle MHKs Howard Quayle and Bill Shimmins will attend the meeting - billed as a chance for Marown residents to voice their concerns and ask questions.
The eastern plan is currently out for public consultation.
