The society wants the site to be 'returned to nature'
The chairperson of the Derbyhaven Resident's Society says they would like to see local authorities demolish a building that they labelled as a health hazard.
High asbestos and damage to pipes are among the reasons the society are calling for the site to be returned to nature.
The Manx Planning Committee rejected an application by Dandara to convert the Golf Links Hotel Site into a 40-bed complex along with 40 residential apartments.
Tim Cullen from the society says while they accept the outcome, they now want to see the existing building demolished which they claim will make everybody happy:
