Department position reiterated

The Chief Executive of the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure hopes this will be the only strike action.

But Nick Black admits there is the possibility more industrial action may follow.

He says his department will be as flexible as possible with the drivers and hoped to progress the drivers’ suggestion of changing sick pay entitlement - something ruled out by the union.

Mr Black has again reiterated his department has to make £300,000 worth of savings.
