Treasury investigating problem with MiCard payments
Pension payments that were due today will be made no later than Christmas Eve.
Funds that would have been due next Friday were meant to be paid out a week early to avoid the clash with Christmas Day, but a problem means those who use MiCard payments haven't been able to access the payment.
The Treasury says the matter is being investigated, and that those who receive BACS payments are unaffected.
Treasury Minister Alf Cannan expects the issue to be fixed in the next few days:
Pensioners in urgent need of support should contact the pensions team directly on 685176 or 687020.
