Lieutenant Governor triggers process today
A by-election to elect two new members of the House of Keys for south Douglas will be held on 27 August.
It was triggered by the Lieutenant Governor today (16 July) to fill seats left vacant after the resignation of Kate Costain, and the death of Bill Malarkey in February.
Two people have already declared their intention to stand, with all prospective candidates asked to submit nomination papers by 29 July.
If there's a contest, voters will go to the polls on Thursday 27 August.
