Public urged not to light campfires or barbecues in countryside following dry spell
There's a warning that recent dry weather has heightened the risk of wildfires in the Manx countryside.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says the sunny conditions mean the public has been exploring hills, forests and glens, but is urging those in rural areas to take precautions.
As a result, DEFA has put up signs warning the public against smoking, lighting camp fires or having barbecues on its land.
