Advance to ADS financial support
Farmers on the Island will recieve an advance in financial support payments to help them cope with the impact of the dry weather.
The prolonged lack of rain has slowed grass and crop growth, leading to fears of a food shortage for livestock in the months to come.
The Department of Enviroment, Food and Agriculture has agreed to give farmers an extra 10% in financial support paid to farmers in July, under the Agricultural Development Scheme.
