Geoffrey Boot provides update on gov't progress
The environment minister says the Isle of Man must capitalise on the ‘silver linings’ of the Covid-19 pandemic, and accelerate government’s climate change action plan.
Geoffrey Boot gave his Tynwald colleagues an update on government’s progress so far this year, including plans to establish a citizens’ forum to help communicate with businesses and individuals.
Mr Boot wants tackling the climate emergency to remain at the top of the political agenda:
Amber weather warning issued as strong winds and coastal conditions expected overnight
Hospice funding criticised by UK charity chief amid Isle of Man service cuts
Sailings cancelled as storm brings gale-force winds
Manx Mountain Marathon route diverted over safety concerns amid forecast strong winds
