Sheep exports double to more than 20,000
Official figures show there's been a sharp rise in the number of sheep and cattle exports from the Island over the last two years.
Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot released the data in response to a Tynwald question for written answer.
The total number of sheep exported from the Island in 2016 more than doubled - going from just over 8,000 to more than 20,500.
Cattle exports also rose from 2,627 in 2015 to 4,635 the following year.
Mr Boot revealed the figures after a question from Garff member Daphne Caine.
