The future of the main Ramsey Post Office could still be in the balance.
There were angry scenes at a packed public meeting in the town last night (Wed) as Chairman of Isle of Man Post Graham Cregeen and the Chief Executive of the Post Office explained their plans to close the Parliament Street post office and relocate services into a sub Post Office at a nearby Spar store.
Some present even called for Mr Cregeen to resign.
Speaking on Mandate this morning, he said the passionate reaction was only to be expected.
However, he admitted that no contract had currently been signed with Mannin Retail to relocate the services to the Spar store and it's possible the decision could be still be reversed
