Stage set for theatre at Ramsey Grammar
A treat's in store for theatre-lovers in the north of the Island.
A new live screening venue's to open at Ramsey Grammar School next month - offering residents a chance to enjoy shows, plays and opera direct from the London stage.
New facilities have been installed in the school's sixth form lecture theatre, thanks to a grant from the Isle of Man Arts Council.
Other live screening venues - at Ballakermeen high school, King William's College and Erin Arts Centre - have proved popular, but this will be the first such venue in the north.
Productions from the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal Opera House are promised, along with performances and exhibitions from around the world.
The new venue's first live event will be Obsession, starring Jude Law on 11 May - with a celebration drinks reception at Milntown before curtain-up, for those who buy tickets in advance (by 4 May).
