Portuguese Man of War discovered near Langness
A deadly type of blue, exotic jellyfish has been found a Manx shore.
The Portuguese man-of-war has a sting that is extremely painful, and can even be fatal - it should not be touched or picked up under any circumstances.
One was found near Langness in Castletown this week, thought to be carried there as a result of Hurricane Ophelia.
Increases in the sightings of these creatures in the south of England prompted the UK Coastguard to issue a warning about them on Monday.
