Candidates must put themselves forward by Thursday
People interested in running in this year's Legislative Council election have just a couple of days left to put themselves forward.
The deadline is this Thursday at noon.
From this election, prospective MLCs will be able to apply for the role rather than needing an MHK to put their name forward.
But those hoping to be on the ballot on 4 March will still need the support of a proposer and seconder in the House of Keys by 13 February, as well as two other MHKs in support of their application.
Four seats will be available on the Council as Peter Greenhill, Bill Henderson, Rob Mercer and Kerry Sharpe reach the end of their terms, with the successful candidates serving until February 2030.
Application forms and further guidance for candidates can be found HERE.
