Charity says it will become food source for marine ecosystem
A dead porpoise in Peel should wash back out to sea and become a food source for the marine ecosystem.
The Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch has thanked people for reporting the stranding on Fenella Beach.
People are being urged not to touch it as dead cetaceans have alot of bacteria in their bodies.
The charity has confirmed it wasn’t Moonlight of Starlight – two porpoises which are known to frequent the area.
It says washing back out to sea, on the next high tide, will be ‘the best thing to happen to the unfortunate animal’.
