Day switch for Beach Buddies

Group teams up with Kirk Michael Commissioners for the first time

Beach Buddies is doing something different this weekend and switching its regular volunteer session to a Saturday, instead of Sunday.

Volunteers will this morning be teaming up, for the first time, with Kirk Michael Commissioners and the people of the village for a special event at Balleira beach, starting at 10.30am.

All Beach Buddies volunteers are invited to join in with the people of Kirk Michael for this event, which is planned to be the first of a number of regular events to engage with members of the public who care about their village and wildlife.

As always, Beach Buddies will provide all the necessary equipment, and dispose of the materials collected afterwards, recycling items like metal, some plastics, glass and tin cans.
