The Island's police force has used images taken by the cameras attached to the Island's buses "on many occasions".
That in a statement from the Data Protection Office.
But it cannot say the number of times side-mounted cameras have captured images, because it's not been revealed by the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure.
The office issued an enforcement notice against the DCCL towards the end of last year.
However, the department says it’ll run its cameras as normal until an appeal hearing is held next month.
