Drug charity to shut soon
The closure of an Island drugs charity is a sad indictment of our times of austerity, according to a union leader.
Yesterday, it was confirmed the Drug Advice Service and Helpline, DASH for short, is to close its doors after almost 20 years.
Angela Moffatt of Prospect says the organisation hit tough times when the government withdrew £100,000 a year in funding in 2012.
But she says the loss of the organisation will be a bitter blow:
